    This fun, easy, and delicious funfetti pancake in a mug is a perfect start to your day. This recipe is ready in less than 10 minutes, using simple ingredients. This is by far my favorite breakfast treat on busy mornings.

    Why I love pancake in the mug?

    Let’s be honest, homemade pancakes from scratch are the best. However, sometimes I want my favorite treat but I am pressed with time. This microwave recipe for pancake in a mug will save time and dishes. Oh, it’s delicious too! All I had to do is mix the ingredients in the cup. The microwave cooks the pancake in no time. I can eat it at home or on the go, either way, it is easy, simple, and delicious.

    Why I love Funfetti Pancake in a mug:

    This recipe is simple, easy, and delicious. I wanted to take a simple pancake recipe and make it special by adding some sprinkles and chocolate chips. Some will call it a Funfetti pancake in a mug, I like to call it a Party pancake in a mug. This recipe is:

    • Simple: All you have to do is mix the ingredients in the cup and microwave it.
    • Easy: This recipe is super easy because it has simple ingredients and almost no dishes.
    • Delicious: The first bite of the pancake is fluffy, sweet, and satisfying.

    Ingredients you will need for this funfetti pancake in a mug:

    • 1 tablespoon salted melted butter
    • 1 egg
    • 2 tablespoons milk
    • 1 tablespoon sugar
    • ½ teaspoon baking powder
    • ¼ teaspoon salt
    • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
    • 1 tablespoon chocolate chip
    • 2 teaspoons confetti sprinkles

    Substitutions:

    • You can substitute the chocolate chips can be substituted with another kind of chocolate or your favorite nuts
    • Also, the sprinkles can be substituted with another kind of sprinkles, chocolate, or again a nut.

    Directions:

    1. In a large microwave-safe mug melt the butter.
    2. Next, use a pastry brush and coat the inside of the mug with the melted butter.
    3. To the mug, add the egg, milk, and sugar to the mug and mix for 30 seconds or until all is combined.
    4. Add in the baking powder, salt, and flour, and mix until all the ingredients are incorporated.
    5. Fold in the chocolate chips and the sprinkles to the pancake mixture.
    6. Place the mug in the microwave.
    7. Set the microwave on high for 1 minute and 45 seconds to 2 minutes.
    8. Allow the pancake to cool off for just 1 minute.
    9. Serve and Enjoy!

    One of my biggest take on this recipe is even though it does not require special skills to make, it is absolutely delicious.
