The Kitchen Bucket List is a family project. We get inspiration to create recipes that are heirlooms, from friends, and our travels. These recipes will guide you to have your own rustic and cozy meal at home.
Why the name “The Kitchen Bucket List”?
Easy, the kitchen is where we all like to gather, have coffee, have great conversations, and obviously prepare fantastic food. We have experienced foodie culture from Hawaii to Italy. Each of us has our own style and favorite dishes. From this, we have “Lists of Recipes” we all want to do and redo. Creating and having fun in the kitchen is a must for us and my favorite, “I’m just a kid playing with her food”.
Let me introduce you to the creative team. They are behind all these delightful recipes that everyone can enjoy no matter your experience in the kitchen or outdoor cooking.
Karina
I am passionate about adventure and learning. The kitchen is my happy place. My first experience in the cooking world was at the local bakery, right across the street. I was hooked.
A proud Mama of 2 amazing girls, we have spent hours in the kitchen figuring out how to make our ideas become reality.
The Kitchen Bucket List is a project that started with my daughters. It taught them fractions to critical thinking. They are now experts in school and the kitchen. Every day they help out with with new ideas for recipes. What I enjoy most is baking bread, cookies, pastries, and finding tips & tricks to speed up mealtime. The air fryer and griddle have become my favorites. I love learning from everyone on the team.
Sean
I started cooking young with garlic bread and got pretty good at college. For me, food is an adventure like an MRE in the surf zone at BUD/S to an experience savored in Italy with Tagliolini al Tartufo. Outdoor cooking is my passion. During our years in Italy, I’d share BBQ recipes with our Italian friends. They shared their Italian recipes with us. We gained a true taste for authentic homemade food from our time there and it is reflected in all of our recipes.
Karina introduced me to crêpes on cast iron when we were in Monterey, California and I was back in France. Since then, cast iron and steel have been a staple for us. I am excited to share recipes from the BBQ grill & Smoker to our outdoor Griddle, as each is so incredibly versatile.
Francesca
Francesca is our seasoning, pasta, and focaccia expert. During our trip to Italy, she was able to cook and test original recipes with our Italian friends. She had conversations packed with tips and tricks and fell in love with spices. Francesca is all about using seasoning to create new flavors in dishes. She learned early on that new tastes can be created by using just a few different spices. Check out her griddle fried rice with its homemade umami seasoning.
Vittoria
Vittoria is our no-bake and smoothie expert. Francesca and Vittoria started out in the kitchen with me. Vittoria’s first recipe was edible cookie dough and from then on she has had a taste for sweet treats. She always has some new creative ideas for sweet and even savory recipes. Also, she is a big help behind the scenes with her hands doing cameos. Her and Francesca are always helping to set up the pictures for you all to enjoy in the recipe posts.
Nika
Nika is our trusted team leader and keeps us all on time. Always excited and ready to celebrate with us when we finalize a new recipe. Constantly at my feet and ready to steal a piece of cheese or apple, don’t even mention peanut butter. She has discovered that some recipes are made just for her…”It’s a Dog’s Life!”
