Make your burger dogs even more flavorful by using ground chuck or even ground prime rib.
Knowing when to flip the burger dog patty is easy. For this recipe, it is between 1 - 2 minutes on each side. A great way to check if it is time to flip is when the color of the patty changes. Once it is halfway up, time to flip. Remember that time as a guide to know when the other side is done. For beef patties, our preferred doneness is medium (135 – 145 degrees F.). If this is not your preferred doneness simply cook a bit longer.
