Fudgy Nutella Brownies

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or substituted with honey
  • ½ cup salted butter softened
  • ½ cup chopped cooking chocolate or favorite chocolate
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Nutella


  • Set oven to 325 degrees F and butter a 9-inch square pan with butter. Line pan with parchment paper and butter the top side of the parchment paper, as well, set aside.
  • In a mixer cream the sugar, eggs, maple syrup, and butter for 1-2 minutes or until it is all combined.
  • Add in the chopped chocolate, salt, flour, and Nutella. Mix for 2 minutes or until all is incorporated.
  • Pour the brownies mixture into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake the brownies for 35-40 minutes.
  • At 35 minutes check the brownies. Once the brownies mixture has pulled away from the sides, it is a good indicator they are done.
  • Take the brownies out of the oven and let them cool off for 30 minutes or until the brownies are lukewarm. Enjoy these warm gooey brownies as is or top with your favorite toppings.
