In a microwave-proof bowl, microwave the flour for 30-60 seconds until it reaches 160 degrees F. (Other likes to put their flour in a cookie sheet in the oven at 300 degrees F for 5 minutes) Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, with a hand mixer, cream the butter and sugars together until nice and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
Add in vanilla extract, milk, and maple syrup and mix with the hand mixer until all combined.
Stir in the flour and salt and mix until you have a dough, no more dry flour.
Fold in the chocolate chips and mix until they are all distributed evenly throughout the dough
Serve as desired.
Notes
When we are all done mixing the dough, we like to take a small cookie scoop, make some balls and freeze them for about 20 minutes. Then transfer to an air-tight container in the fridge for 4 to 5 days.
