  • Donut Pan
  • Hand mixer
  • Mixing Bowls
  • Measuring Cups

  • 1 box funfetti cake mix I used the Rainbow Cake Mix from Duncan Hines, 15.25 oz
  • ¾ cup milk I used 2% but you could use whole milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or any vegetable oil you like
  • ½ cup rainbow sprinkles (I like using rainbow jimmies)

  • 1 cup powder sugar
  • 2 tablespoons salted melted butter ou could use unsalted if you prefer.
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ teaspoon meringue powder optional
  • ¼ cup rainbow sprinkles optional

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Spray oil on a donut pan.
  •  In a large bowl with a hand mixer, combine all the ingredients. Mix until all ingredients are blended.
  • Pour the batter into a piping bag. (This step makes it easier for pouring into the donut pan)
  • Cut the end tip of the piping bag when ready to pipe.
  • Pipe each of the prepared doughnut pan to 2/3 full.
  • Bake for 8 minutes or until the donuts are nice and golden
  • The donuts should be golden brown, and when insert a toothpick it comes out clean.
  • Allow the donuts to cool off for 2-3 minutes in the pan.
  • Take the donuts out of the pan on a cooling rack.
  • Repeat steps 6 to 10 until you have used all the batter. I like to re-oil my pan in between each batch.

  • In a large bowl, combine all the ingredientsfor the glaze.

  •  Dip half of each donut in the glaze.
  • Sprinkle the rainbow sprinkles if you so desire.
  • Serve and Enjoy!
