In a mixing bowl, mix the almonds and maple syrup. Stir until all almonds are coated.
Sprinkle 3 tablespoons of cacao powder.
With a wood spoon, mix until all almonds are covered with cacao powder.
Pour into the basket of the air fryer.
Roast on manual setting, 320 degrees F for 3 minutes.
Shake the basket and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
Shake and stir the basket one last time and finish cooking for 2 more minutes. At this time the almonds are hot, not too crunchy.
Pour back into the mixing bowl and add 1 tablespoon of honey. Mix until all almonds are covered.
Mix in the last 2 tablespoons of cacao powder. Pour into a cookie sheet to cool completely.
